Paris Psalter Cross
The filigree vines in this simple, but delicate cross are based on border designs from a page in the famous Paris Psalter, which illustrates the story of Adam and Eve. The illuminated manuscript of which it is a part, was created in Byzantium in the 10th century. The manuscript now resides in the Bibliotheque Nationale in Paris, France.
In the center is a 3mm round faceted gemstone.
